Browsing Course Reading Lists

1 min read 11 views

Teachers can assign required or recommended reading for each course. You can view these reading lists in the library portal and find the books in the catalog.

How to Browse Course Reserves

  1. Click Course Reserves (or Course Reading List) in the sidebar menu.
  2. A list of active courses appears. Each card shows:
    • Course title and course code
    • Instructor name
    • Academic term
    • Required reading materials with title and author

Searching and Filtering

  • Use the Search field to find a course by name or course code.
  • Use the Term dropdown to filter courses by semester or academic period (e.g., 1st Semester 2025–2026).

Finding the Books

If a book on the course list is in the school library:

  1. Note the title from the course reading list.
  2. Go to the OPAC (catalog search) and search for that title.
  3. Check availability and place a hold if it is currently borrowed by someone else.
