AI Search — Ask a Question to Find Books
2 min read
14 views
AI Search lets you find books by describing what you are looking for in your own words — no need to know the exact title or author.
How to Use AI Search
- Click AI Search in the sidebar menu.
- In the search box, type a question or description. For example:
- "Books about the Philippine Revolution for Grade 8"
- "Science books suitable for elementary students"
- "Filipino novels about social justice"
- Press Enter or click Search.
- The AI reads your question and returns a list of books from the school's collection that match.
- Each result shows the book cover, title, author, and availability.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific about the topic and grade level you need.
- Mention the subject area (e.g., Science, Filipino, History).
- You can describe a theme or mood, not just a topic (e.g., "adventure stories for young readers").
- AI Search only finds books that are in your school's catalog — it cannot find books from outside the collection.
Daily Search Limit
Each patron has a daily limit for AI searches (set by your librarian). Once you reach the limit, you will see a message and can try again the next day. Regular keyword search in the OPAC has no limit.
