Reviewing Acquisition Requests

When students or teachers suggest books for the library to purchase, their requests appear here.
- Click Acquisition Requests in the sidebar menu.
- You will see a stats bar showing counts of pending, approved, and ordered requests.
- Use the filters to show requests by status (pending, approved, rejected, ordered, received).
- Use the search box to find requests by title, author, ISBN, or the name of the person who made the request.
- To review a request, click Review.
- Read the justification the person provided.
- Add your own review notes (optional).
- Click Approve or Reject.
After approval:
- You can mark approved requests as "Ordered" when you include them in a purchase order.
- You can also create a purchase order directly from approved requests -- the system will automatically fill in the details.
- Mark requests as "Received" when the books arrive.
Request status flow:
- Pending -- New request, waiting for your review
- Approved -- You approved it, ready to be ordered
- Rejected -- You decided not to purchase this book
- Ordered -- Included in a purchase order
- Received -- The book has arrived
